Description
Sunrise on a Storm in Grand Teton National Park
There are moments one must step away from the camera and drink in what is unfolding. Minutes earlier, I had retreated to the car, discouraged by the clouds hanging over the scene. After showing Carol some of the photos I had taken, I looked up to see the clouds beginning to break slightly. I ran to where I had been standing, with hail falling composed the shot, checked the focus and waited. Within seconds light appeared over this section of the Tetons. Then I had a London Tube experience, "Mind the gap!" Sometimes the gap between a enjoying and appreciating a scene is the length of a camera. Pulling away from the camera, I did a 360-degree turn. With emotion, thanking God for every part of it. Turning back to the camera, I clicked off other exposures of the ever-changing scene.
